Current Information:Age-19 Born-Wimbledon Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, France Rifleman Waters died of wounds on this day after having been evacuated to a hospital in Boulogne on the coast. As yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded.
5th London (London Rifle Brigade) had arived in France in December 1914 and had been attached to 11 Brigade, 4th Division. In April and May 1915 they were engaged in the desperate struggle in the north-east sector of the Ypres salient, which became known as Second Ypres. |
